If you’ve made it this far, I hope that you’ll take a minute to read about what this site is about, and why I hope that it is valuable. I know that there are plenty of scammy sites that tell you it’s possible to make $20,000 an hour working part-time from home, but that is not what Investing Part Time is about. I created this site to show you how it’s possible to have investing success in your 20s and 30s, even if you only have a few hours and even fewer dollars to spare towards learning about it. Success won’t come easily, but if you work hard and smart at it, it will come eventually.
Thanks so much for reading, and if you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me here!
About Investing Part Time
Whether we are still in school, recently graduated, or have been working for ten years in the “real world,” we all have questions about investing and what to do with our money. Even if you have been a finance nerd throughout school and joined the university investment club, there are likely still some things you don’t fully understand. You know it is important, but you just don’t have the time.
Investing Part Time is the perfect resource for anyone in their 20s and 30s who wants to learn more about investing, but does not have the time or the desire to spend hours upon hours a day learning it. This site will feature a collection of blog posts, investing ideas, popular book reviews and recommendations, and other valuable content that will help you make the most of your other most important investment: time. I promise to keep the content relevant, interesting, and challenging for those new to investing or those who have been investing for years.
The site will always be continuously updated, so check back often or subscribe to the updates via RSS.
My name is Brett, and true to the mission of this site, I am a part time investor. I currently work full-time in litigation consulting in the Washington, D.C. area, but in my free time I love to read about the markets and attempt to put into practice at least some of what I’ve learned. I don’t have as much time as I’d like to follow the markets, but I truly believe that if you set aside even just a few hours each week to learning some of this stuff, then you can succeed and potentially beat the market.
I like to constantly read new books and will post reviews and recommendations of them on this site if I think they might be valuable and helpful. See here for a current list of what I’m reading [coming soon].
With this site, I hope to accomplish two things: 1) Provide valuable ideas, articles, and inspiration to those who only have a few extra hours a week, and 2) hold myself accountable to actually live this out on a daily basis. If I can’t show that it’s possible to still have success even if you only have a few hours to spare a week, then I am wasting your time. I hope that you’ll join me in setting the foundation for a life of smart investing!
If you have any questions or comments, I can be reached through the contact page of this site. I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
